MomsRising has "a goal of championing core motherhood and family issues in political, social, and economic spheres." MomsRising.org is a site that "enables moms (and all who have moms) to connect, learn, and amplify each other's voices as we find ways to truly support families." Postpartum Support International MotherWoman is a member organization of PSI. "Many women are not prepared for the wide range of emotions they may experience after the birth of a child. They often feel sadness, anger, anxiety, or a sense of inadequacy." MotherWoman directly addresses these issues. Amherst Family Center MotherWoman returns to the AFC for the eighth year! The AFC is a drop-in center providing support for families with children less than five years of age. In addition to providing a safe and nurturing environment for parents and their children, the center provides parent education workshops, parent support activities and quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education programs.The center is open 9-Noon, Monday-Thursday, in the Amherst Unitarian Universalist Church at 121 North Pleasant Street in downtown Amherst MA.
