8/25/09 MotherWoman Invites Community Women To A Free MotherWoman Group Demonstration

September 25, 2009
Amherst, MA

MotherWoman welcomes women in the community to attend a free, open MotherWoman Group to be held on Thursday, October 8th at 7pm at the Cooley Dickinson Midwifery Center, Northampton, MA (The Yellow House just south of the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Campus).  This is a fun, inspiring, stress-free event aimed at introducing women in the community to what MotherWoman Groups are like and to given them the opportunity to experience first hand what it is like to sit in a MotherWoman Group. RSVP is required.

“More and more women have heard their friends raving about MotherWoman and want to know what all the hubbub is about,” stated MotherWoman Group Facilitator Liz Friedman. “Participating in this open group will give women a profound experience of hearing themselves think and speak with other mothers while sharing their real stories of motherhood.”

This event is free and open to all women in the community. Babies in arms only.  Space is limited. RSVP to Liz Friedman at 413-253-8990 or liz@motherwoman.org.

MotherWoman’s mother’s group model creates safe spaces of mutual respect and non-judgment where mothers can build community and support one another as they navigate life’s challenges and the realities of motherhood. MotherWoman’s vision is for there to be mother’s groups everywhere, for mothers of all ages with children of all ages- in libraries, community centers, hospitals, living rooms, churches, synagogues or mosques all over the world- so that all mothers can have the village they need to care for themselves and raise their children.
