Press Releases, and Upcoming Events The producers of the September, 2007 productions of the play BIRTH have awarded MotherWoman $1280.00 in proceeds from ticket sales. "We are simply blown away to receive such a generous gift from the women leaders in our community who put so much time, energy and passion into producing an amazing play this fall." stated Executive Director Melanie DeSilva. "Never before in the history of MotherWoman has someone else held an event to raise money for us. It is humbling and so deeply appreciated. This money will literally help us to keep our doors open!" Local midwives Tanya Rapinchuck and Kirsten Kowalski-Lane labored to pull together community support and a talented cast of actresses to make BIRTH possible. After an enormous amount of work, BIRTH played to three sold-out audiences at the beginning of September at PACE in Easthampton. A proceed check for $1280 was presented to DeSilva at MotherWoman's Mom's Night Out at the MotherWoman Cafe held on November 17th. |
