Press Releases, and Upcoming Events The May 15, 2007 fundraiser at Ben and Jerry's in Amherst, yielded MotherWoman $386.00 which will be used to help fund MotherWoman's Postpartum Stress Support Group for the months of July-August, 2007. Owner Julie Feran hosted the fundraiser as a Mother's Day benefit for MotherWoman, giving 50% of her proceeds in a three hour period to MotherWoman. Feran gave MotherWoman space to set up organizational materialss, and donated and set up craft and gardening materials that chidlren could use to make Mother's Day cards and plant flower seeds in a little pot as a gift for their mothers. "The stars were aligned for this to be an amazing event," said Program Annette Cycon. "It was a hot day, right before Mother's Day, our PR was fantastic, and Julie thinks we're great and worked hard for us." MotherWoman, Inc. would like to thank all those who came out in support of MotherWoman that day. "We hope to have this be a yearly event in support of MotherWoman," said Executive Director Melanie DeSilva. |
