Playdate and Legislative Coffee Hour for Paid Sick Leave!
Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 4:27PM Moms in Western Mass are organizing a playdate and Legislative Coffee Hour with our local legislators -and you can join us!
*Can you come join the fun?* We'll have crafts, snacks and supervision for the kids as well as coffee, tea, pastries, and a chance to make a big difference for everyone.
WHAT: Playdate and Legislative Coffee hour -- Find out where your legislator stands on the bill and tell your story, or just listen! Kids and friends are welcome!
WHEN: Wednesday, March 10th at 2pm
WHERE: Community Room, Springfield City Library, 220 State St. Springfield, MA
RSVP: Marianne if you'd like to come, and feel free to bring friends.
WHY: In our region, we have several legislators who sit on the critical next committee for this bill: The House Ways and Means Committee. That means these legislators need to hear from real parents now about why this bill is so important to pass this year.
This event is being sponsored and cohosted by Representative Cheryl Coakley Rivera who is a champion of this bill and was critical to passing it out of its first committee. Let's show her that parents support what she's doing by coming out in force!
