    Dr. Margaret Howard is the Director of the Postpartum Depression Day Hospital at Women & Infants Hospital of RI, a mother-baby psychiatric partial hospital in Providence, Rhode Island that is exclusively devoted to treating perinatal psychiatric disorders. She is also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and the Department of Medicine in the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She conducts ongoing supervision with psychiatry residents and psychology interns and fellows.

    She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. Dr. Howard has published and lectured widely on the topic of perinatal psychiatric disorders and was the recipient of the Eli Lilly Welcome Back Award which recognized five individuals nationwide for their innovative approach to the recognition and treatment of depression.
